• Unique technical knowledge pertaining pest control facilities to control pest in an environmentally friendly way;
  
• Wide knowledge of the science and practice of stored product protection against insect pests;
  
• Substantial experience in research planning and management, including preparation of operational and long term plans;
  
• Detailed understanding of the use of controlled atmosphere against stored product pests;
  
• Experience of non-chemical Quarantine and Pre-shipment technologies in accordance with national and international regulations;
  
• Methyl Bromide alternatives;
  
• Industry and government liaison and representation;
  
• Technical advise in the field of alternative pest control techniques;
  
• Effective participation in training and extension, at national and international level.
